LPC Upskills Housekeepers in Green Skills to Cut Waste and Carbon, Expanding to 10 Projects in 2026

25 Jun 2026

LPC Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (LPC), a subsidiary of L.P.N. Development PCL, is driving change by upskilling its housekeepers in "Green Skills" and advancing sustainable waste sorting. LPC recently received a Letter of Recognition under the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS) 2025 from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, reflecting its success in developing "people" while caring for "the planet." A pilot waste-sorting program at LPC's offices reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 5.296 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent, and the initiative will be expanded to 10 projects in 2026.

Ms. Daranee Chatphiriyaphan, Chief Executive Officer of L.P.N. Development PCL, said LPN places importance on driving environmental sustainability across the entire living value chain, from project development and designing spaces equipped with waste-sorting systems, to building employees' skills to manage resources efficiently within communities. LPN believes that good systems must go hand in hand with knowledge, understanding and staff participation so that waste management delivers continuous, sustainable and tangible results. Receiving the LESS 2025 Letter of Recognition from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the first time reaffirms LPN's vision of balanced growth between people's quality of life, communities and the environment, as the company moves toward its Net Zero goal.

Ms. Surasawadee Suewacha, Managing Director of LPC Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., said LPC is committed to developing Green Skills that elevate the profession of its housekeeping staff, moving them beyond cleaning duties to taking part in sustainable resource management. This reduces environmental impact and maximizes resource efficiency. These skills also lower costs for the organization and, together with systematic waste sorting, cut greenhouse gas emissions by 5.296 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.

This achievement did not come from staff development alone. It was made possible by close cooperation from the committees and juristic persons of each condominium project, which are central to driving change. With a shared vision of building environmentally friendly communities, they enabled concrete waste-sorting and resource-management operations that produced measurable environmental results. The model will be expanded to 10 more projects in 2026:

  1. Lumpini Park Rattanathibet–Ngamwongwan
  2. Lumpini Place Srinakarin–Huamak
  3. Lumpini Place Rama 9–Ratchada (Buildings A, B, C and D)
  4. Lumpini MegaCity Bangna
  5. Lumpini Park Pinklao
  6. Lumpini Place Pinklao 2
  7. Lumpini Park Riverside–Rama 3
  8. Lumpini Place Ratchada–Sathu
  9. Lumpini CondoTown Ekachai 48
  10. Lumpini Ville Nakhon In–Riverview

About the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS)

The Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS), run by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, develops activity models that raise awareness of greenhouse gas reduction and honors those who take action by issuing a Letter of Recognition (LOR), so that organizations carrying out emission-reduction activities receive recognition through a technical and academic assessment process. The scheme combines this with the concept of support flowing from "givers" in the corporate and business sector to "receivers" in society and communities. The greenhouse gas assessment under LESS is a preliminary assessment for recognition purposes only; reductions achieved under LESS therefore cannot be traded.
